busy, busy

while i get caught up on work, head over here and check out the latest issue of lonny.

i received this, this and this in the mail yesterday. i pulled a muscle lifting it out of the mailbox.

the stack was 1 5/16" inches high, or ... slightly more than 3 sharpies (permanent, fine point) high.


time to call them and let them know i'd rather read these online. the online version even has that "flip-the-page" sound so it'll be just like reading the paper one.

the may/june 2011 issue of lonny came out yesterday. i love it. i apparently have breakfast nooks on the brain, because these were my favorite images from the issue, both breakfast nooks.

these drapes had me at hello. gorgeous.
and this banquette. phenomenal.
now go enjoy the rest of the issue. it doesn't disappoint.

eye catching

this was one of the best rooms (in my opinion) in the latest issue of lonny. it's from marlien rentmeester's home in the pacific palisades. the family room is done in shades of eggplant and burnt orange, a fresh color combination. what a great room to spend a weekend afternoon. lots of natural light, fireplace, beautiful artwork. the only problem i'd see is.... do you stretch out on the beautiful sofa or in one of those comfy chairs. hmmm....

it's been awhile...

since i've had a free weekend day to sit down and read. our drizzly weather this past weekend certainly helped me out also. nothing like a rainy sunday to sit and read, and ok, maybe nap too. i bounced between these two.
a great read. i'm only halfway thru but would totally recommend it based on just the first half.

and lonny magazine. where i fell in love with lulu de kwiatkowski's (of lulu dk fame) los angeles home. check it out. i think you'll agree, it's pretty fabulous.

perfect timing

i shipped out 150 packages this week. i'm exhausted. steve will be hunting tomorrow with pixel. i'll be home alone with the cats and this. it's the new issue, just out, and sure to satisfy my craving for pretty.

the weekend

i took the weekend off, meaning i did nothing related to this. very hard for me epecially at this time of year. but i needed to. the trunk show left me wiped out. i needed to recoup and renew.

and went to ikea and bought this. steve says it makes him dizzy. steve and pixel had a great weekend too. they took 2 hunting trips. and did this.
