my favorite

i know it's not that fun to look at empty rooms, but i wanted to show you one of the houses i saw in dallas last week. this was my favorite house of them all. it's located in a beautiful subdivision in a suburb just north of dallas. it's kinda of colonial and traditional.

beautiful dark, handscraped hardwood floors throughout the main floor. from the foyer you can see all the way through to the backyard. i like that. (of course it was overcast and rainy the day i was there so my photos are a little dark.)
gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous kitchen. white cabinets. dark island. white subway tile backsplash. we'd never eat out if i had this kitchen.breakfast nook with view of backyard. (and that archway leads back to the master bedroom.)unique granite. one i hadn't seen before.slot for a refrigerator. double wall ovens. master bath vanity. honed marble-like granite. liked it.
i loved the shower floor!
this was only half of the master closet, which links to the laundry room. genius. and a guest room bath. another gorgeous tile floor.
what do you think?? this is definitely on our "keeper" list. it's a little big for us but it just means we'll have lots of room for guests.

So happy to hear you are excited about a house/Texas architecture (did I mention I was born and grew up there til we moved to Oklahoma?) Anyway, love the house, and you loving the house will make the move so much easier. Don't worry, there will be many many sunny days and get ready for the heat!!!!!

Double ovens?! Can I come stay for a bakeover??

The window boxes on the front windows are begging for some of your amazing potting skills!

Um, and how ingenious is that laundry room/closet concept...why don't more builders do that?

Likey. likey. likey.
